Nose is an important organ situated in the middle part of face, which determines the shape of face in addition to its vital functions. There can be aesthetical problems on nose, which are innate or arise later from various reasons. This is a case that affects individual’s facial appearance. The surgical operation carried out in order to change the shape of nose and to bring nose more beautiful and aesthetic appearance is called Rhinoplasty (nasal aesthetics).
Rhinoplasty operations are the operations which generally last for 3-4 hours and require the patients’ one-night stay hospital for control purposes. After the operation, the patients can turn into their daily lives in 7-10 days.

In rhinoplasty surgeries, there are two different methods: open and close. I usually prefer open method, due to its providing a more confortable workspace, its being more available to piezzo approach and its being protective. Via piezo approach, nose can be shaped without its bones’ being broken. Thus, the level of bruise and swelling that can be occurred after the surgery is minimized.
I also use up-to date technique called “ansa-banner” in the appropriate cases to prevent long-term unwanted deformities of the nasal cartilages and drooping and sagging of the nasal tip after the surgery. In open method rhinoplasty, a small incision is done beneath nose. When the recovery has completed, this scar will not be realized unless it is looked carefully.
Even a small change that will be done changes person’s face. In rhinoplasty surgeries, the purpose is not a certain type of nose, but it should be to reveal a nose most suitable for individual’s face, his/her skin structure, gender and expectation .In the surgeries I have carried out, I am trying to do my best for my patients’ happiness regarding these issues.

How long does the surgery last?
Rhinoplasty suregeries last 3-4 hours in average. But the duration of the surgery may take longer considering such factors as skin thickness, cartilage structure.
Should I stay at the hospital?
After the surgery, we recommend our patients to stay at the hospital for one day for control purposes.
At which age can the surgery of rhinoplasty be done earliest?
Development of bone and cartilage should be completed in order that rhinoplasty surgery can be done. Therefore, I recommend that rhinoplasty surgery should be done for the men after the age of 17 at least and for the women after the age of 18 at least.
When can I return to my daily life?
After rhinoplasty surgery, you can return to your daily life in 7-10 days. We recommend you to rest in this period. Our patients coming from abroad can travel by plane within 7 days and can return to their countries, providing that they are in contact during the recovery process.
After the surgery will there be bruise, swelling?
We use piezo (ultrasonic) method in our surgeries. Via this method, bruise and swelling usually do not occur among our patients. The bruise and swelling that rarely occur improve rapidly from the third day of the surgery.
After surgery will there be a scar?
I generally prefer open surgery method in our rhinoplasty surgeries. Via this method, we make an incision beneath the nose. After the surgery, this incision gets better in a way that it can not be realized unless looked carefully.
When is the most suitable period for the rhinoplasty surgery? Is there any difference between summer and winter periods considering rhinoplasty?
For rhinoplasty surgery, we recommend our patients to be operated when they feel most comfortable and determined. Apart from this, there is no difference between hot or cold, summer or winter months for rhinoplasty surgeries.
After the surgery can there be such deformities as nasal tip drooping?
Recovery period lasts for one year after the rhinoplasty. There may be unwanted deformities in this long period of time even though it is rare. Even in the best clinics worldwide, unwanted deformities during recovery period are around 5 per cent. Therefore, we follow our patients closely during the long-term recovery process. We reveal the problems that may occur in patient follow-ups with detailed examination and mutual communication, and if necessary, we correct them with revision surgeries. Thus, our patient satisfaction rates are over 90 percent.
How much does rhinoplasty surgery cost?
This is a varying price according to the difficulty of rhinoplasty surgery. In order that a certain cost can be given, patients should be examined, the patients who come from out of town or abroad should send their photo.
